Free subsidy scanOPZuid is the regional subsidy programme for innovation in Limburg, North Brabant and Zeeland, funded by ERDF and the three southern provinces. Up to €2 million per project, up to 50% of total project costs. The 2026 opening is not yet officially confirmed at time of writing.
OPZuid is intended for broad consortia in Southern Netherlands: companies (mainly SMEs), knowledge institutions, municipalities, water boards and citizen cooperatives. Minimum two collaboration partners required.
The 2026 opening of OPZuid is not yet officially confirmed. The 2025 cycle had two openings (spring and autumn). A similar cycle for 2026 is likely but not yet confirmed.
Applications go through the central OPZuid desk of Zeeland province. OPZuid works with a tender procedure.
OPZuid is an EU fund, so stacking with other EU subsidies on the same costs is not allowed. Combining with WBSO, MIT R&D or DEI+ is possible.
With Subsidies.io you immediately see whether your project fits within OPZuid and which national alternatives are relevant if the 2026 opening is delayed.
